What A Friend We Have In Jesus!

"God is a refuge for us...God hath spoken once: twice have I heard this;
that power belongeth unto God." (Psalms 62:8 & 11) This morning I tried to send and receive our
emails as usually but it kept reading an error even though I was successfully
connected and going through all the usual procedures. I didn't know what had
gone wrong. I was disturbed because at this time we couldn't afford the
expenses of calling in a technician. Later on in the day I decided to pour out
my heart to God. As I did I was so glad as it dawned on me that I can ask God
to handle even computer technicalities! God does not only know about it he is
the one that gave men the idea!
Isn't it wonderful to have such a friend as this that not only cares but is
also able to handle everything? I thought of the fact that even some of my most
caring friends can only sympathies with me on certain issues because it is
beyond of their power to do any thing about it. Not so this our friend Jesus!
He cares and he can! This is what David was trying to tell us when he said;
"Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your hearts before him:
God is a refuge for us...God hath spoken once: twice have I heard this; that
power
belongeth unto God." (Psalms 62:8 & 11). Not only is he a refuge place
in which we can feel secure to run to with all our heart hurts but he also has
the power to fix everything.
Beloved as you begin this week there may be some challenges you face. They may
look complicated and you may not even know the next thing to do. Well take it
to the Lord in prayer. We have a friend who is not
only touched by those things that affect us but that is also the Almighty.
Nothing is too difficult for him. How true that old hymn. Think about it;
"What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear;
What a privilege to carry
Ev'rything to God in prayer.
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh,what needless pains we bear-
All because we do not carry
Ev'rything to God in prayer"
As for our email system, it began working after I prayed. .God fixed it! He
would fix your problems too. This week don't worry about anything, but pray
about everything.
